Policy Analyst, California State University Chancellor’s Office
Alex began working in higher education policy approximately three years ago, after spending four years as a Legislative Assistant with the Alzheimer’s Association. After five months as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Policy, he joined the California State University in their office of Advocacy & State Relations as a Policy Analyst. In this role, he monitors legislative proposals for their impact on the CSU, its campuses and students, advocates for amendments that improve legislation, and communicates CSU concerns to legislative staff and committees. He graduated from Occidental College with a B.A. in Politics and minored in Urban and Environmental Policy. In 2015, he received his Master of Public Policy & Administration from Sacramento State University.
