Dean of Academic Affairs, Los Angeles City College
As a former ESL and community college student, Angelica Ramirez has dedicated her professional life to supporting student success by ensuring that students receive quality instruction and support services. As an Academic Affairs dean at Los Angeles City College (LACC), Angelica is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, development and implementation of the college’s Noncredit, Adult Ed and Basic Skills programs. Prior to joining LACC, Angelica gained experience in both Academic Affairs and Student Services through nearly a decade of classified and adjunct faculty service at various colleges within the Los Angeles Community College District. Angelica received her B.A. in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and her M.A. in Public Administration at California State University Long Beach. She also earned a certificate in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language from UCLA.
