Associate Director, Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) at Stanford
Daisy Gonzales is the Associate Director of Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) at Stanford University. Before joining the PACE team, Daisy worked as a Budget Consultant for the California State Assembly Budget Committee, where she was responsible for budget oversight of $11.2 billion in state and federal funds and negotiating the State Assembly’s funding priorities for 45 state departments, boards and commissions. Daisy is also a former dual-immersion teacher and education consultant with an expertise in foster youth and bridge programs for first generation college students. In her research and policy role, she focuses on K-12 state and federal policy implementation, with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement and professional development for school administrators. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.A. in Sociology from UCSB, and a B.A. in Public Policy from Mills College.
