Executive Director, California State Student Association
Rob currently serves as the Executive Director of the California State Student Association (CSSA) in Long Beach, California, where he supports and empowers elected student leaders in their efforts to advocate for the diverse needs and interests of the 470,000 students in the 23-campus California State University system. At the postsecondary level, Rob has worked in various capacities including serving as a presidential aide, coordinating undergraduate student services, providing college-going support to local high school students, and advising student organizations. In addition to his work at both public and private universities, Rob has worked with nonprofit higher education research organizations such as The Campaign for College Opportunity, Institute for Higher Education Policy, Southern Education Foundation, and NASPA’s Research & Policy Institute. Rob received his Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, & Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Educational Policy from The George Washington University, and his bachelor’s degree in English Education from Florida A&M University.
